Turn a TikTok Food Video Into a Recipe
Use CookThis to turn supported TikTok food links or saved video screenshots into an estimated recipe you can cook at home.

Food videos are designed to create instant appetite. Saving them is easy; turning them into dinner is not.
The ingredient list may flash by too quickly, important steps may happen off camera, and the video may prioritize a dramatic result over a complete method. A saved collection can become another archive that is never used.
CookThis creates a path from the video to a home-cookable plan.
Two Ways to Start
On Android, share a supported TikTok food link with CookThis when suitable preview information is available. The app can treat the title, creator context, and preview image as clues for an estimated recipe.
If the link does not expose a useful preview, capture a clear screenshot of the finished food and select it from the gallery. Add the dish name or any details mentioned in the video if you remember them.
What the AI Actually Knows
CookThis does not claim to download every frame, transcribe all audio, or recover a creator’s private recipe. It can only use the visual and text context available to it.
That means the output is a simple home version inspired by the post. Hidden marinades, off-camera preparation, exact quantities, and branded ingredients may not be recoverable.
Make the Result More Useful
Add context before generation when possible:
- the dish name from the caption
- a visible or mentioned ingredient
- the texture or flavor that made it appealing
- your preferred serving count
- equipment shown in the video that you do or do not own
- whether you want Quick, Easy, Closest Taste, or Healthier mode
If the creator uses a deep fryer and you only have an air fryer, tell CookThis. If the video uses an unfamiliar ingredient, location-aware substitutions can make the recipe more realistic.
From Saved Post to Cooking Mode
The useful outcome is not another saved item. It is a structured ingredient list and sequence you can follow in the kitchen.
Once CookThis generates the recipe, review it for dietary suitability and food safety, make any needed substitutions, and open cooking mode for a cleaner step-by-step view.
This use case is best for people whose saved-food folders are full but whose weekly menu never benefits from them.
